I obtained your contact information because I needed to let you know how grateful I am for the services your staff has been providing to assist me in caring for my 34 year old son, Briefly - I want to share that I'm not familiar with Medicaid services in PA. My son was discharged to me from a hospital in New Jersey on March 13, 2020 in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis. My son had a car accident in May 2019 and as a result suffered a TBI and he is diagnosed as being in a minimally conscious state and requires 24 hour care and supervision.
After numerous phone calls asking and even begging for help, I was referred to your agency and blessed to get in touch with Maureen who did not hesitate to try to help me in every way possible. Maureen suggested I follow up with another amazing human being on your staff, Elana. Elana has also guided me by providing emotional support, along with potential suitable resources in the area available for my son.
Maureen and Elana were able to arrange in-home assistance to provide my son with PT, OT & ST and lately with skilled nursing. Getting to know your staff, Elana, Maureen, Adrienne, Lisa, Mary, George, Jacqueline, Stacey and Jenna reminds me that there are people who make you feel better simply by showing how much they care and it makes a difference in this world.
I also want to give a very special thanks to Elana and Adrienne for following up and simply being available. Elana, for checking on us just because and Adrienne, for reaching out to Junior's medical care providers in New Jersey to ensure that the minimum discharge recommendations were being followed.
Lastly, even though we have been unable to obtain a primary doctor or specialist, I am so grateful and confident that with the support of your staff my son's immediate needs are being met and that we have support just a phone call away.
